A 26-year-old woman was apprehended in Hapoli, located in the Lower Subansiri district, on Thursday due to her alleged involvement in drug trafficking, according to police reports.
Following a tip-off, a police unit conducted a raid on a rented residence near Pai Gate, where they seized contraband substances weighing 61 grams, believed to be heroin, from her possession, as stated by the authorities.
The woman in question had previously been incarcerated for three months last year after being found in possession of 10 grams of heroin. At the time of her latest arrest, she was out on bail, as noted by a police officer, who also mentioned that further investigations are ongoing.
