Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu paid tribute to the bravery and professionalism of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on the occasion of the 92nd Indian Air Force Day. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Khandu remarked, “Sashakta, Sudridh, Aatmanirbhar! On #IndianAirForceDay, I salute the valour, precision, and professionalism of our air warriors who keep our skies safe and secure.” Khandu emphasized the IAF’s impressive fleet, including indigenous aircraft such as the Tejas and the Light Combat Helicopter, highlighting how the force exemplifies India’s strength, resilience, and commitment to self-reliance.
Ahead of the Air Force Day celebrations, an air show took place at Chennai’s Marina Beach on October 6, drawing significant attention. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Air Chief Marshal AP Singh were in attendance, alongside a large crowd. The spectacle featured stunning maneuvers by fighter jets like the Sukhoi Su-30MKI and the Sarang helicopters. Notably, for the first time in 21 years, the Garud Commandos showcased their operational readiness in Chennai.
The theme for this year’s celebration, “Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Aatmnirbhar,” reflects the IAF’s dedication to modernization and self-reliance. Despite the sweltering heat, both children and adults watched in awe as 72 aircraft participated in the grand event.
