The Arunachal Fashion Week 2026 – The Artisans’ Movement concluded successfully at Interior Park, Naharlagun, celebrating indigenous textiles and cultural identity over eight days. The finale featured Cultural Heritage Day and Awards Night, attended by Minister for Textiles Nyato Dukam and MLA Nabam Vivek. The week showcased runway shows, live performances, and a multi-floor exhibition of various crafts. Recognitions included several awards such as Arunachal’s Next Top Model and Top Fashion Designer. Minister Dukam emphasized that the event aims to preserve culture and empower youth, contributing to Arunachal Pradesh’s emerging position in India’s sustainable fashion. The state produces 69 metric tonnes of silk annually, supporting livelihoods across 500 villages, with commitments for further investment in the textile sector. Yana Ngoba Chakpu, CEO of Northeast India Fashion Week, announced plans to expand the platform to enhance regional textile visibility nationally and globally.
