On the occasion of Diwali, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik sent warm congratulations and best wishes to the state’s citizens, hoping that the celebration would deepen the ties of fraternity, love, and harmony that bind all facets of society together. “Diwali, the festival of lights, embodies the timeless message of hope and the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and wisdom over ignorance,” the governor wrote in his greeting.
It is a season of introspection, rebirth, and thankfulness. In addition to lighting lamps in our homes, let’s light the lamps of kindness, compassion, and righteousness in our hearts as we commemorate this holy occasion, Parnaik remarked. He asked people to celebrate Diwali in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by abstaining from noisy and polluting firecrackers, which pose a threat to the environment and public health. “Safeguarding our air, health, and surroundings is the truest way to honour the spirit of this beautiful festival of light,” he said. “May the divine light of Diwali illuminate your lives with joy, wisdom, and serenity, and guide us all towards a brighter and more prosperous future,” the governor said.
