The Arunachal Pradesh government has signed three separate agreements with OIL India Limited (OIL), Vedanta Limited, and Orissa Metallik Private Limited for exploration of strategic graphite and vanadium mineral blocks at Depo (Papum Pare), Phop (Keyi Panyor), and Radhpu in the state. The composite licence deeds for exploration were executed by the State Department of Geology and Mining with the three partner companies on Friday. Reacting to the development, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, “The systematic exploration of critical minerals like graphite and vanadium will play a vital role in supporting electric mobility, energy storage, defence and high-technology sectors, while also generating employment and fostering sustainable economic growth in the state.” “The government remains committed to transparent, responsible and community-orientated mineral development for the long-term benefit of the people of Arunachal Pradesh,” he said.
