Arunachal Deputy CM (1)

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein formally announced the name of the future Lord Parashuram statue at Parashuram Kund: “Statue of Strength,” signifying the strength, unity, and legacy of the area. With the help of the Vipra Foundation, the Arunachal Pradesh government, and local people, the project is moving closer to its grand opening in November or December of this year. It is his hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the historic occasion, said Deputy Chief Minister Mein.

The administration is carrying out extensive infrastructure improvements as part of the Riverfront Development Project, including improved public amenities, safe swimming areas, and protective embankment construction. Transforming Parashuram Kund from a hallowed pilgrimage site into a bustling tourism destination is the aim. Authorities have hired professional designers to redesign the site for improved visitor experience, safety, and accessibility despite recent flood-related damage.

Deputy CM Mein was accompanied by prominent sculptor Naresh Kumar Kumawat, Wakro ADC, Vipra Foundation National Convenor Susil Ojha, BJP Namsai District President Ningroo Ong Maio, Lohit Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dasula Krisikro, Lohit DC Kesang Damo, and State Council for IT & e-Government Chairman Nyamar Karbak. During the ceremony, Mein said, “This ‘Statue of Strength’ will serve as a symbol of spiritual devotion and the timeless cultural values of our people, inspiring visitors from all over India.”
