Actually as per dietary guidelines, men aged 19-20 should consume 2600-3000 clories/day. In fact male adults aged 21-35 should consume 2400-3000 calories, while those aged between 41-55 should consume 2200-2800 calories. Also females aged 16-18 should consume 1800-2400 calories and those aged 26-30 should consume 1800-2400 calories, while those aged 31-50 should consume 1800-2200 calories.
