The 11th edition of the Arunachal Film Festival (AFF) was inaugurated at TNZ Cinemas in Itanagar, emphasizing the development of the state’s creative economy. Spanning three days, this initiative by the state government, organized through the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), aims to celebrate cinema and showcase the creative talents of local filmmakers. Agriculture and Allied Minister Gabriel D Wangsu expressed gratitude to the DIPR for supporting the AFF over the past decade, envisioning it as a platform to exhibit Arunachal’s rich traditions and stunning landscapes. The opening ceremony drew attendance from IPR Minister Nyato Dukam, Commissioner Nyali Ete, senior IPR officers, filmmakers, and artists from various regions. The event included the screening of the opening film, “Chausang On – The Little Monk,” attended by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and MLA-cum-advisor Chau Zingnu Namchoom, among other dignitaries.
