As he laid the groundwork for several infrastructure projects in the Lower Dibang Valley district and later attended the Adi community’s Solung Festival celebrations at Roing, the district headquarters, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu emphasized the importance of pursuing development while maintaining a historical foundation. Khandu emphasized that the preservation of cultural identity and development projects must coexist and that the people of Arunachal Pradesh should welcome modern progress without losing sight of their history.

Through investments in housing, education, and connectivity, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to promoting inclusive growth across districts. The Chief Minister’s projects include a 120-bed hostel at Government Secondary School Paglam and 20-bed hostel structures with dining halls, kitchens, and warden quarters at CUPS Sirang, Keba, and Middle School Kangkong. According to officials, four-unit quarters will also be built at the CUPS and GSS Paglam campuses.

Additional projects include building a type-V quarter for the principal of Government Model College, Roing; enhancing township roads in Dambuk and Paglam; and developing infrastructure for the electrical subdivision at Dambuk. In a post on X, Khandu reviewed the status of the bridge that is now being built over the Sissiri River on the Bomjir-Paglam route. He said that the structure would greatly improve communication in the area.
