Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chown Mein emphasized the critical role of education, advocating for its integration with cultural and linguistic preservation during the inauguration of a new hostel building at the Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Residential School in Chongkham, Namasi district. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the teaching of Pali and Tai Khamti languages and highlighted the importance of digitizing and restoring rare manuscripts housed in the museum, which are considered vital to the state’s heritage.

Mein noted that the newly opened 60-bed hostel would significantly benefit students, particularly in light of limited boarding facilities and parents’ desires for quality education for their children. He congratulated the Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society and the RWD team for the successful completion of this infrastructure project and promised further support for expansion, including increasing hostel capacity in the future.

Additionally, the deputy Chief minister participated in a coordination meeting focused on demarcating boundaries for the Namsai Nagar Palika. He remarked on the urgency of providing essential civic services—such as roads, sanitation, water supply, street lighting, and market facilities—as Namsai quickly evolves into an urban center. Mein called for collaboration among all stakeholders to transform Namsai into a model town.
