
Arunachal Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein gave a speech during the Independence Day festivities at Pali Vidyapeeth Ground in Chongkham, Namsai district. He honored India’s freedom fighters and Arunachal’s unsung heroes and asked all citizens to help create a powerful and advanced state. Mein’s speech included the following statements: “I salute the brave soldiers for protecting the nation in the most extreme weather conditions, farmers for providing us with food, teachers for molding young minds, doctors and nurses for saving lives, engineers and workers for building infrastructure, and every citizen whose work strengthens Arunachal Pradesh and the Nation.”
Mein emphasized India’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the nation’s rise to the fourth-largest economy globally is a testament to the people’s determination to realize Viksit Bharat by 2047. He continued by outlining the state’s accomplishments, including its ranking as the best-performing state in upholding law and order, its 100% adjusted net enrollment in elementary education, and its ranking as a top state in the SDG India Index 2023–2024.
