Chief Minister Pema Khandu said Arunachal Pradesh’s flagship outreach initiative ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ has directly benefitted more than 15 lakh people across the state by bringing government services and welfare schemes to the doorsteps of citizens, especially in remote and difficult-to-access areas. Taking to social media to share the latest progress of the programme, the Chief Minister described ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ as a shining example of “governance in action.” According to Khandu, over 1,051 service delivery camps have been conducted under this initiative so far, enabling the state administration to connect with people in far-flung villages and ensure access to schemes and essential services.

During the nationwide celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Arunachal Pradesh hosted 26 mega camps under the programme, which significantly expanded its scale and outreach.“‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ is not just about delivering services; it is a major step towards inclusive governance,” CM Khandu said. “It has created greater awareness among citizens about their entitlements, and brought about better collaboration between departments to reach the last mile.”He said the government has consciously shifted from the traditional “pull” model — where people travel to government offices for services — to a more proactive “push” model, where officials and departments reach out directly to beneficiaries in their own communities.

Under the programme, residents have been able to access benefits such as Aadhaar enrolment, ration cards, pension schemes, health services, and other welfare-linked documents — all without having to leave their villages. This has especially helped the elderly, women, and people with limited mobility. CM Khandu emphasized that the goal is 100% coverage of eligible citizens and to make sure that no one is left behind. “Seva Aapke Dwar is about empowering people with access and information. By reaching them where they live, we are breaking barriers and building trust between the administration and the people,” he said.
