In a heartwarming philanthropic gesture aimed at fostering a culture of learning, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, KT Parnaik, handed over a significant collection of library books to the children of Oju Mission at the Lok Bhavan on Thursday.
The initiative is part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to provide better educational resources to children in need, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore the vast world of literature and history. The governor donated more than 150 books, carefully selected to nurture curiosity, moral values, and imagination among young readers. The diverse collection includes illustrated editions of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Biographies of Indian freedom fighters and the heroic stories of Param Vir Chakra awardees. The iconic Amar Chitra Katha comics and Panchatantra tales. Titles focusing on groundbreaking inventions and scientific discoveries.
During an interactive session with the students, Governor Parnaik emphasized that reading is not just an academic requirement but a lifelong habit that builds character.
