To mark the 50th anniversary of the state’s independence, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced a wide range of development projects, calling the event “not just a celebration, but commitment in action.” Khandu outlined a number of historic initiatives and programs in a social media post that demonstrate the state government’s emphasis on youth development, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, and rural electrification.

The programs are intended to have a long-lasting effect on the lives of people from all walks of life and are a component of the state’s Golden Jubilee vision. The creation of 50 Golden Jubilee Model Schools, which will cost a total of 500 crore and aim to revolutionize education at the local level, is one of the major announcements. In addition to infrastructural development, the government has launched the Golden Jubilee Merit Award, which would give students who are accepted into prestigious colleges including national law universities (NLUs), IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS financial aid of? 2 lakh.

Arunachal Chief Minister Arunachal Khandu has launched the Golden Jubilee Daughters scheme, providing?50,000 to every girl born in the state and fully immunized. The scheme aims to promote dignity, health, and empowerment. The Golden Jubilee roadmap also includes 50 micro-hydel projects and 60 Primary and Community Health Centres upgrades to enhance medical access in underserved areas. These initiatives reflect the state’s commitment to creating a more inclusive, empowered, and self-reliant Arunachal.
