Malaika Arora’s personal life – from her divorce from Arbaaz Khan after almost two decades of marriage to reportedly dating Arjun Kapoor – has always been in the news.
Actress Malaika Arora says she would be lying if she said criticism about her professional life and relationships never bothered her, but she believes she has now learnt to “detach” herself from all the negativity.
Malaika’s personal life has always been in the news and the actress says she has no choice but to “block out” the noise and move on to the positive aspects of her life. Malaika was previously married to actor Arbaaz Khan for nearly two decades. They got divorced in 2017.
During an interview with Global Spa, when asked how she deals with criticism about her relationships or professional life, Malaika Arora said, “I deal with it in the best way possible. There are times when you think things don’t bother or affect me, but of course they do.”
Since the divorce, Malaika has been in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor and has been constantly trolled over the age difference, as Malaika is 11 years older than the Singham Again actor. Media reports have also revealed that the couple have also separated, but both of them never commented on it.
She added, “I have also found a way to deal with it, become assertive about it and not let it overwhelm me, dominate me or get the better of me. I have found a way to detach myself from it all. Yes, it is part and parcel of our lives, there is always something or the other happening, criticism, trolling but you just have to block out the noise, the negativity and move on with whatever is positive in your life.”
Recently when Malaika Arora’s stepfather Anil Mehta allegedly died by suicide, Arjun Kapoor was by her side and put an end to breakup rumours. Malaika’s stepfather fell from the sixth floor of a residential building in Bandra, Mumbai. Although he was rushed to Bhabha Hospital immediately after the incident, Anil was declared dead by doctors.
