In the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP’s Smriti Irani lost her seat to ‘ Kishori Lal Sharma by 1,67,196 votes. And amid her defeat from Amethi, bollywood actress Mouni Roy extended her support to the politician as she penned a message that read- Always with you.
The politician wrote a long message on X and said her Josh was still high despite the election results. She wrote- ” Such is life… A decade of my life going from one village to another, building lives, nurturing hope & aspirations, working on infrastructure – roads, naali, khadanja, bypass, medical college and more.”
The politician added, “To those who stood by me through loss and victory, I am forever grateful. To those celebrating today, congratulations. And to those asking, “How’s the josh?” I say- it’s still high, Sir.”
However, soon after Smriti shared the note, Mouni Roy rushed to the comments section and wrote, “Always with you”. Mouni and Smriti worked together in Ekta Kapoor’s popular show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.
Addressing the media on Tuesday evening, Irani said: “I express my gratitude to all the BJP party workers and supporters, those who have worked in the service of the constituency and the party with utmost dedication and fidelity.”
“Today, I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and (Uttar Pradesh) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that their governments have completed the pending works of 30 years in just 5 years,” she further said.
