Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim has been away from the spotlight for almost five months. Her absence sparked concern among fans, who inquired about her well-being on her last post.
On Thursday, Nazriya took to Instagram to open up about her time away from the public eye. In a long note, the actress explained why she disappeared or did not pick up calls or respond to messages.
She wrote, “I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to explain why I have been absent for a while. As many of you know, I have always been an active member of this wonderful community.
However, for the past few months, I have been struggling with my emotional well-being and personal challenges which have made it difficult for me to be present.”
Nazriya Nazim explained that while dealing with her personal challenges, she not only missed being present online but also missed celebrating her 30th birthday, New Year, and the success of her film Microscopicdarshini.
“I would also like to apologise to all my friends for not explaining why I disappeared and not picking up calls or responding to messages. I am truly sorry for any anxiety or inconvenience I caused. I completely shut down.”
In the note, Nazriya also apologised to her colleagues who tried to contact her for work. “I have been absent and I am sorry for any disruption this may have caused.”
Nazriya ended her note by saying, “It’s been a tough journey, but I want you to know that I’m working on healing and getting better every day.
I appreciate your understanding and support during this time. I need a little more time to fully recover, but I promise I’m on the road to recovery. I wrote this today because I felt I owe all my family, friends and fans an explanation for disappearing like this.”
Her note received reactions from her colleagues including Vijay Varma and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Vijay commented, “Wishing you all the love and healing.” While, Samantha simply left a heart emoji in the comments section.
Danish Sait wrote, “Take care of yourself, take your time. The world can wait.” Others in the comments section speculated that Nazriya Nazim might be pregnant.
One comment read, “The way she started the post, I really thought she was revealing the pregnancy. 😮 Who else thought the same?” Meanwhile, others urged the actor to “not announce the divorce.”
