
The Union Power Ministry has appointed Toko Onuj, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Ltd, as a member of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) governing council for three years starting from July 1.
Onuj will represent the Northeast power sector, contributing valuable regional insights to the NPTI’s highest decision-making body under the Power Ministry.
The NPTI governing council, chaired by the Power Ministry secretary, includes five representatives from various state electricity boards and five distinguished experts from fields such as technical education, management, power equipment manufacturing, renewable energy, and rural electrification.
Members are chosen on a rotational basis to provide strategic guidance and advice on sectoral development.
