The Papum Pare district administration in Arunachal Pradesh

The Papum Pare district administration in Arunachal Pradesh has increased vigilance when issuing temporary and permanent Inner Line Permits (ILPs) due to ongoing eviction drives targeting illegal migrants in neighboring Assam. Applicants must now submit voter ID cards, Aadhaar cards, and recent passport-size photographs. The move aims to strengthen security and prevent undocumented individuals from entering the state. Administrative offices are directed to conduct routine ILP checking drives and work with police to form a special task force for enforcement. Deputy Commissioner Vishakha Yadav emphasized the importance of strict enforcement for maintaining the district’s security, demographic balance, and administrative integrity.
