Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his revolutionary contributions to the state’s and the Northeast’s overall development, highlighting how the area has become a vital source of national growth. Speaking during PM Modi’s one-day visit to the northeastern state, Khandu claimed that the arrival of the prime minister sparked a spike in the fervor and energy of the Arunachal Pradesh populace. “I welcomed the Prime Minister to this beautiful land on behalf of myself and the people of the state,” he continued. Khandu pointed out that Modi has never seen Arunachal Pradesh or the area from a political perspective, underscoring the central leadership’s emphasis on the Northeast.
Khandu noted that the Northeast, especially Arunachal Pradesh, has seen enormous developmental progress since the BJP-led NDA government took office in 2014. “The area, which was formerly infamous for all the bad reasons, is now experiencing tremendous development because of the Prime Minister’s actions and wise policy choices. The Northeast now plays a major role in the development of the nation,” he stated. The chief minister remembered that national ministers had been sent to visit Northeastern states every 15 days to address local issues and that PM Modi has made more than 60 trips to the area since 2014.
