
On Tuesday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju praised the Tawang district administration in Arunachal Pradesh for its transparent budget utilization procedures and reliable and efficient execution of government initiatives.
Rijiju, the minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs, virtually addressed the border district’s third quarter District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting and apologized for being unable to attend the last session because of prior obligations.
According to an official statement provided here, he emphasized his position as chairman of the DISHA committee, which oversees all 17 districts in his constituency, and praised Tawang’s proven ability to carry out developmental initiatives.
The meeting in Tawang was attended in person by Leki Gombu, the chairwoman of the zilla parishad, deputy commissioner Namgyal Angmo, and the heads of many departments involved in implementing centrally supported programs (CSS).
