Arunachal Pradesh Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona announced that the state government is offering free coaching for UPSC aspirants from tribal communities through a New Delhi institute. In a response to an Assembly question, he highlighted the provision of one-time financial incentives for civil services examination candidates, including Rs 2 lakh for those clearing the preliminary exam and Rs 3 lakh for mains qualifiers. Additionally, candidates passing national-level exams like NDA, CDS, Indian Forest Service, and Indian Engineering Service also receive Rs 2 lakh. Tribal students admitted to prestigious institutions such as IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, and National Law Universities benefit from the same financial support. The minister noted the establishment of career counseling facilities in all colleges and the introduction of language enhancement courses for tribal students in partnership with the British Council of India.
