Seijosa Police under East Kameng district has launched a series of citizen-friendly digital services. The initiative aims to make law enforcement more accessible, transparent, and responsive to the public, particularly in remote regions of Arunachal Pradesh. The new services were introduced under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sashi Dore, APPS, who has been actively promoting community-oriented policing. The initiative includes a 24×7 toll-free helpline (7085504595) dedicated to reporting drug-related offences, a WhatsApp-based online FIR system for lodging complaints or reporting lost mobile phones, and a doorstep police verification service for various citizen needs.

According to SDPO Dore, the digital approach will not only simplify policing but also help bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public. “These services make the police more reachable and responsive. We want the community to feel confident that their concerns are heard and acted upon swiftly,” he said.

The helpline allows citizens to share information or tip-offs about drug trafficking, possession, or suspicious activities, while maintaining the option of anonymity to protect informants. Police officials said such mechanisms encourage responsible community participation in combating narcotics, a growing concern in many border areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
