
According to a report published by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has disclosed assets worth Rs 332.56 crore, making him the second wealthiest chief minister in the nation. Andhra Pradesh’s richest chief minister is N Chandrababu Naidu, whose assets are Rs 931 crore. With Rs 51.93 crore, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is in third place, while Neiphiu Rio of Nagaland is in fourth place with Rs 46.95 crore. With assets of Rs 17.27 crore, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is ranked ninth in the country among northeastern states. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has reported Rs 14.06 crore, and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has disclosed Rs 13.90 crore. Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, is the poorest chief minister in India, with assets of approximately Rs 15.38 lakh.
All 30 current chief ministers in state assemblies and union territories provided self-sworn affidavits, which the ADR and National Election Watch examined. Affidavits submitted before their most recent elections served as the source of the data.
