At the All Tai Khamti Singpho Students’ Union’s (ATKSSU) Third Annual Felicitation Program, held at Namsai’s Multi-Purpose Cultural Hall, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein was present. Academic, athletic, cultural, and social service accomplishments of young people from the Tai Khamti and Singpho communities were honored at the occasion. Gold medalists, top scorers from the State and CBSE boards’ board exams, and accomplished people from the fashion, sports, and entertainment industries were all honored at the program. Speaking to the group, Mein said he was proud of the young people’s achievements and that their success makes the community as a whole, not just their families, recognize them.

The Deputy Chief Minister also commended ATKSSU President Branglin Injo and General Secretary Chau Suphita Manjeykhun’s leadership for their aggressive efforts to enhance the society and empower young people. Deputy Commissioner C.R. Khampa, Superintendent of Police Sange Thinley, ADC Chongkham K. Tikhak, ZPM Chau Jenia Namchoom, ZPC Nang Urmila Mancheykhun, and representatives from TKSC, SDS, and TKDS were among the notable attendees. A significant number of young people attended the event, indicating an increase in community involvement in cultural and educational advancement. In addition to honoring individual accomplishments, the felicitation program reaffirmed a shared vision for a forward-thinking, cohesive society.
