Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Union Cabinet’s approval of a 700 MW power project in Arunachal Pradesh, claiming it would spur the Northeast’s development and open up new avenues for expansion and prosperity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a meeting of the Union Cabinet that authorized an investment of Rs 8146.21 crore for the development of the 700 MW Tato-II hydroelectric project in Arunachal Pradesh’s Shi Yomi district. The project is expected to be finished in 72 months.

“Congratulations to the people of Arunachal Pradesh on PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s approval of the 700 MW Tato-II Hydro Electric Project, valued at Rs 8,146.21 crore, at today’s Union Cabinet. Shah wrote on X, “This project will accelerate the region’s development and harness the state’s vast hydroelectric potential, opening up new opportunities for growth and prosperity.” On his X handle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sent greetings.

Amit Shah congratulated Arunachal Pradesh on the Cabinet approval for funding the Tato-II Hydro Electric Project in Shi Yomi District, a vital project for the state’s growth. He also praised the approval of four new semiconductor units in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Punjab, stating India is gaining Atmanirbharta in semiconductor manufacturing. Shah also praised the Lucknow Metro Phase-1B, a significant initiative to promote connectivity and boost industry, trade, and employment.
