In a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh, the under-17 girls’ archery team from Donyi Polo Vidya Niketan (DPVN), Talom Rukbo Nagar, Pasighat, clinched the bronze medal at the 36th National Archery Meet 2025 held in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The remarkable feat has brought both honour and joy to the school and the state, highlighting the steady rise of young sporting talent from the Northeast. The three-member team — Nyamne Liza Perme, Aina Daisy Tatak, and Ponung Tayeng — delivered a commendable performance marked by precision, teamwork, and determination. Competing against some of the finest young archers from across India, the DPVN team’s consistency and focus helped them secure third position in the group event category, organized under the banner of the Vidya Bharati Sports Council.
DPVN Principal Vidya Kant Jha expressed immense pride in the team’s success, describing it as a reflection of both the students’ discipline and the school’s commitment to nurturing sports talent alongside academics.“Securing third position in a national-level competition is a proud moment for the school and the people of Arunachal Pradesh,” he said. “Our students have worked hard, guided by dedicated teachers and coaches, and this medal is the result of their combined effort and perseverance.”
The principal also emphasized that such achievements encourage younger students to take up sports seriously and aim higher in national and international arenas. “We hope this success inspires many more students to take interest in archery and other sports disciplines,” he added.
