The third edition of Arunachal Rang Mahotsav, marketed as the largest theater festival in the Northeast, kicked off its 15-day run at the DK Convention Centre featuring directors and performers from 10 different nations. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein informed the audience that although the state’s theater culture is still in its infancy, it is developing swiftly thanks to the emergence of young actors and the cooperation of foreign organizations. He said that Arunachal Rang Mahotsav has grown to be the largest theatrical stage in the area and thanked director Riken Ngomle for bringing the event to a worldwide audience.

Actor and festival ambassador Adil Hussain, according to Mein, is a significant source of inspiration for regional talent. P.D. Sona, the minister of tourism, greeted the delegates and recalled how the Legislative Assembly’s 50th anniversary celebration four years prior sparked the state’s newfound interest in theater. According to him, this milestone created the impetus for what he called “Arunachal Ek Safarnama,” which sparked an explosion of cultural and youth-focused events in the fields of fashion, sports, and music.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu called the celebration a moment of pride for the state and commended Ngomle’s efforts in fostering its quick expansion. He emphasized that young people in Arunachal had great theatrical potential and highlighted the involvement of directors and artists from all over the world. Khandu promised to keep supporting programs that foster the state’s creative ambitions.
