As part of sustained military–civil fusion and youth empowerment efforts in West Siang district, local military authorities at Along (Aalo) have been conducting regular Physical Training (PT), coaching and structured guidance for local youth aspiring to join various Government services. The initiative focuses on improving physical fitness, discipline, confidence and overall preparedness for competitive recruitment processes, benefitting a large number of aspirants from the region.
A significant outcome of this ongoing programme has been the selection of Shri Yumbis Ligo of Aalo as a recruit in the Border Security Force (BSF). His achievement stands as a testament to the impact of consistent mentoring, professional training and disciplined preparation facilitated under the Army-supported initiative.
To recognise this accomplishment and inspire other young aspirants, Shri Yumbis Ligo was felicitated at Along Military Station in the presence of Army personnel and local youth. The occasion highlighted the importance of structured guidance, perseverance and positive role models in enabling youth from remote areas to achieve their aspirations of serving the nation.
The Indian Army continues to remain committed to empowering youth in Arunachal Pradesh through people-centric initiatives that strengthen military–civil bonding, promote national integration and create pathways for dignified service and nation-building.
