Arunachal Pradesh Governor K.T. Parnaik has urged the youth to become ambassadors of national unity, calling on them to eliminate stereotypes and regional barriers through enhanced interaction, empathy, and mutual appreciation. Speaking at a ‘Yuva Sangam’ programme under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative at Lok Bhavan, the Governor interacted with students from Uttar Pradesh and the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST).

Governor Parnaik advised the students to engage in meaningful exchanges to strengthen national integration and mutual respect. Under Phase-6 of the initiative, NERIST serves as the nodal institution for Arunachal Pradesh, paired with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. Highlighting the vital role of young people in nation-building, the Governor encouraged them to remain educated, disciplined, and self-motivated, while actively preserving traditional values, indigenous knowledge, and cultural practices.

Emphasizing the region’s immense contribution to the country’s unity, security, and development, the Governor stated that the people of the Northeast are deeply patriotic and deserve equal respect and opportunities in every sphere. He highlighted Arunachal’s rich history, organic farming potential, and sacred archaeological sites like Parashuram Kund, Bhismaknagar, and Malinithan, which reflect deep spiritual links with the rest of India.

The event concluded with a vibrant cultural exchange program, celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity. Governor Parnaik urged the visiting students from Uttar Pradesh to carry back the warmth and hospitality of Arunachal Pradesh, expressing hope that the visit would forge lasting bonds of friendship and deepen their understanding of the Northeast.
