Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, thanked the Dalai Lama, a Tibetan spiritual leader, on winning the Grammy Award, calling it a worldwide celebration of kindness, harmony, and humanity. “Heartiest congratulations to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on receiving the Grammy Award for Best Audiobook Narration for ‘Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama,” Khandu wrote on Facebook. According to him, the acknowledgment conveys a broader message for humanity and goes much beyond an individual accomplishment.

In a post on X, the chief minister stated, “This global recognition is not just an honor for His Holiness, but a celebration of timeless values, compassion, universal responsibility, peace, care for our planet, and the oneness of humanity.” Khandu noted that the Dalai Lama’s teachings have continuously served as a reminder to people of the value of empathy and coexistence across generations and cultures. “May this achievement further inspire the world to walk the path of empathy, harmony and collective well-being,” he stated.
