Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, emphasizing the festival’s enduring values of love, trust, mutual respect, and social cohesion. In his message, the Governor highlighted that Raksha Bandhan transcends family traditions to serve as a broader reminder of society’s collective duty to protect and uplift one another—particularly women—with dignity, empathy, and compassion regardless of caste, creed, or region. The celebration was marked at Lok Bhavan in Itanagar, where students and teachers from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Chimpu, along with members of the Brahma Kumaris led by Brahma Kumari Junu, called on the Governor and tied traditional rakhis. Interacting with the visiting students, Parnaik urged them to embody discipline, integrity, and a spirit of service as they pursue excellence, while praising the Brahma Kumaris for their dedication to spiritual education, peace, and social harmony across the nation.
