Reliance Industries Ltd’s Human Resources chief, Ira Bindra, has been recognized as one of the world’s top Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) in the 2025 Leaders40 Top CHRO Award by N2Growth, marking Reliance as the sole Indian company on the list. This year features other prominent CHROs like Lisa Buckingham (Vialto Partners) and Matthew Breitfelder (Apollo Global Management). Bindra is also noted as the first Indian woman executive from an Indian firm to receive this distinction.
Ira is a distinguished global leader in Human Resources and business transformation, recently ranked 28th. With over twenty years of experience, she has successfully driven growth and organizational excellence across Fortune 100 companies and various industries. As President – People & Talent at Reliance Industries Limited, India’s largest private enterprise, she collaborates with top leadership to advance the company’s people and culture strategies, crucial for high performance and sustainable transformation.
Bindra is spearheading a transformation of talent and culture for Reliance, which employs 360,000 individuals across various sectors including energy and telecommunications. Before this, she held senior HR positions at Medtronic and spent 19 years in diverse HR roles at General Electric. She possesses an MBA from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands and a BA (Hons.) in History from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. The Top CHRO List, initiated by Mike Myatt in 2015, has become a significant acknowledgment in the HR field.
