The Keyi Panyor district unit of the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has extended financial support to families affected by the recent flash floods in the district by handing over a relief fund of ₹8 lakh to the district administration.
A six-member CoSAAP delegation, led by district unit president Toko Lento and general secretary Chukhu Epa, presented the cheque to Keyi Panyor Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra at the district secretariat on Tuesday. The amount will be utilised for the relief and rehabilitation of families affected by the devastating flash floods in Possa, NEEPCO Colony and surrounding areas.
The relief fund was mobilised through voluntary contributions from government employees and well-wishers. CoSAAP expressed gratitude to its central executive committee, led by Likha Tech, as well as federating district units of Namsai, Papum Pare, Lohit, Leparada and East Siang for their support and contributions towards the humanitarian initiative.
The association also appreciated the efforts of government employees across Keyi Panyor district, whose collective contribution reflected solidarity and compassion during the crisis.
Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra lauded the initiative and thanked the contributors for their generosity. She assured that the relief amount would be utilised transparently and effectively for the welfare, relief and rehabilitation of genuine flood-affected families.
