On World Biofuel Day 2024, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has made a significant impact with its latest advancements in sustainable mobility. With a firm commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, TKM is pushing the boundaries of clean technology through its focus on biofuels, particularly ethanol.

India’s escalating crude oil imports—21.4 million tonnes in April 2024—underscore the urgent need for alternative energy solutions. TKM’s initiative is addressing this need head-on. The company’s goal to increase ethanol blending to 20% by 2025 is set to reduce carbon emissions significantly, offering both environmental and economic benefits.

In Gangtok, TKM’s biofuel efforts are poised to invigorate the local market.
