Nissan Motor India has achieved a landmark consolidated sales figure of over 99,000 units in FY2024-25—its highest in seven years—buoyed by the success of the New Nissan Magnite in both domestic and global markets. The company recorded 28,000+ domestic sales and a historic 71,000+ exports across 65+ countries under its “One Car, One World” strategy, marking a 35% YoY growth.

The New Magnite, launched in October 2024, has not only surpassed 150,000 cumulative units but also achieved over 50,000 exports, thanks to its LHD and RHD variants. Nissan reaffirmed its commitment to India by announcing two new models—a 7-seater B-MPV in FY25 and a 5-seater C-SUV in FY26—while restructuring operations by transferring its Chennai JV stake to its Alliance partner.

The Magnite’s compact design and value-for-money features are drawing strong consumer interest, especially among young professionals and first-time car buyers. Local dealerships noted a surge in bookings post-launch, seeing the model as well-suited to the city’s terrain and traffic conditions. Despite a 3% price hike effective April 2025, Nissan’s bullish product pipeline and expanding dealership network signal continued confidence in India’s growth trajectory.
