Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that reforms introduced by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) have brought greater transparency and professionalism to the recruitment process in the State.
Speaking at the inauguration of a new conference hall at the APSSB office in Itanagar, Khandu said the Board was established to ensure equal opportunities for candidates in government recruitment.
He recalled that before APSSB was established, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission conducted recruitment for Group A and B posts, while APSSB handles Group C and D recruitment.
Khandu said APSSB, an ISO-certified organisation, is also increasingly serving as a stepping stone for young government employees aspiring for higher services. He said government organisations will have an important role in achieving Viksit Arunachal 2047.
APSSB Chairman Nyali Ete said the Board was established on October 4, 2018, with the mandate to bring professionalism, transparency and efficiency to recruitment. He said the Board has strengthened its digital interface and candidate services.
Ete highlighted key reforms, including the Combined Examination Scheme introduced in 2021, scribe and own-scribe facilities for PwBD candidates in 2023, and the Vacancy Tracking App introduced in 2025.
Several officers and officials were felicitated during the programme. APSSB Secretary VVJ Rajasekhar delivered the vote of thanks.
