Samsung India has announced the finalists for its transformative CSR initiative, ‘Solve for Tomorrow’. Designed to cultivate a culture of innovation among India’s youth, the initiative has identified 50 promising teams from both the ‘School Track’ and ‘Youth Track’. These teams, hailing from diverse corners including Khurda in Odisha, Kachar and Kamrup Rural in Assam, and Amreli in Gujarat, will now advance to regional rounds commencing in mid-July.
In the ‘Youth Track’, participants explored ‘environment and sustainability’, addressing pressing issues like deforestation, plastic waste management, and sustainable packaging. Meanwhile, the ‘School Track’ focused on ‘community and inclusion’, proposing solutions for mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ rights, and digital literacy.
Preparations for the regional rounds include intensive training in presentation and communication skills for the 232 participants. SP Chun, Corporate Vice President of Samsung Southwest Asia, praised the caliber of ideas and highlighted the initiative’s impact on local communities.From an Itanagar market perspective, the initiative has galvanized local innovators, fostering an atmosphere of entrepreneurship and community engagement.The top two teams from each region will progress to the national stage, receiving mentorship and visiting Samsung’s Regional Headquarters in Gurugram and R&D Centers across India.
