Tata Motors will unveil the Tata Sierra 2025 today, reintroducing the iconic SUV nameplate into its expanding line-up that includes the Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier and Safari. Positioned in the competitive mid-size SUV category dominated by the Hyundai Creta, the new Sierra will also take on the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Mahindra Thar Roxx, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and even Tata’s own Curvv.

The company has presented the Sierra as a feature-rich SUV with multiple powertrain choices. Expected pricing ranges from around ₹12 lakh to ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it squarely among established rivals. The design blends modern elements with cues from the classic Sierra, including a reimagined three-quarter glass section, a panoramic sunroof, flush glass panels and a contrasting black roof band. Full-LED lighting, a full-width front DRL, sleek rear LED bar, 19-inch alloys, flush door handles and a clamshell tailgate complete its contemporary styling.

Inside, the SUV features Tata’s Theatre Pro three-screen setup, JBL’s 12-speaker Dolby Atmos system, soft-touch surfaces, ambient lighting, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, wireless charging and an auto-dimming IRVM. Expected engines include 1.5-litre NA petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel units with manual and automatic gearboxes. The Sierra will launch with ICE options first, with an electric version to follow early next year.
