Tata Motors has officially launched the highly anticipated Tata Sierra in India, priced from ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). The SUV revives the iconic Sierra nameplate that was originally sold between 1993 and 2001, joining the list of beloved cars making a comeback in the Indian market.
The production version closely mirrors the concept unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, retaining design cues reminiscent of the original model, such as the flat front profile and faux alpine window. Tata Sierra also introduces several firsts for the brand. The top-end trim features a triple-screen setup, including a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger display, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It also comes with a 12-speaker JBL audio system with soundbar, extended sun visors, adjustable front under-thigh support, auxiliary taillight, and 17 mm bi-LED headlamps, which are the slimmest in India.
The panoramic sunroof is the largest in the segment. Engine options include a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol—set to debut in the updated Harrier and Safari—along with a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, making the Sierra a versatile and feature-rich SUV.
