Governor K T Parnaik has presented a grant-in-aid cheque amounting to ₹10 lakh to Deepak Nabam Living Home located in Senki Park, along with a cheque of ₹5 lakh to the Mother’s Home in Lekhi village. The cheques were accepted by Chairman Deepak Nabam and Taillang Lodor, the secretary of the Mother’s Home. The governor called upon NGOs to intensify their efforts in the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals facing mental health challenges, highlighting that mental health should no longer be regarded as a social taboo but rather as a collective responsibility. He commended the outstanding service provided by both organizations and underscored their dedication to assisting vulnerable members of society, especially those dealing with mental illness and abandonment.
