Rainfall at Delhi

The India Meteorological Department predicts continued rainfall in Delhi over Thursday and Friday, with heavy downpours in Gurugram, Delhi NCR, on Thursday morning.

The regional met centre in New Delhi predicts light to moderate rain with thunderstorms/lightning over Delhi in the next two days, followed by very light rain.

Heavy rainfall hits various part of Delhi

Rain caused waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and flight delays at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, causing six flights to be diverted to Jaipur and two to Lucknow.

Heavy rain caused waterlogging and traffic disruptions in various Delhi areas, including Nehru Place, Aurobindo Marg, Kailash Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Siri Fort Road, Chirag Delhi flyover, Outer Ring Road, G K Marg, Rail Bhawan, Akshardham, Ashram, ITO, Pul Prahladpur, MB Road, MG Road, Old Rohtak Road, Shadipur, Madhuban Chowk, and National Highway 8.

Over the next seven days, light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and lightning are expected in various locations across the western Himalayan region and over the plains.
