The Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) has made the decision to raise the salaries of its 204 ground staff members. This resolution was approved during a special session, where IMC Mayor Tamme Phassang underscored the significance of these workers in upholding cleanliness and hygiene. The IMC team, comprising officials and corporators, is advocating for equal pay with comparable employees in various government departments. Urban Local Bodies Minister Balo Raja is in favor of the resolution. Phassang further stressed the necessity of public involvement in attaining a cleaner city.
