On World Environment Health Day, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, emphasizing its evolution from a traditional carmaker to a comprehensive mobility solutions provider. This initiative aligns with the global Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 (TEC 2050), which targets carbon neutrality and aims to create a net positive environmental impact through a series of strategic challenges.

TKM has reported remarkable achievements in sustainable practices, such as a water management strategy that sources 89.3% of production water from recycled and harvested rainwater. The company has also attained over 96% waste recycling, striving for a zero waste-to-landfill objective. Operating entirely on renewable energy since June 2021, TKM has significantly reduced its carbon emissions.

In Itanagar, consumers are increasingly prioritizing eco-friendly products, making sustainability a key factor in purchasing decisions. This shift reflects a growing awareness and demand for brands that demonstrate responsible environmental practices. TKM’s initiatives resonate well with this emerging market trend, reinforcing its position as a sustainability leader. Mr. B. Padmanabha, Executive Vice President of TKM, highlighted the company’s commitment to integrating sustainability across all operations and fostering eco-consciousness among stakeholders for a greener future.
