Vishakha Yadav, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare district, has been conferred the Arunachal Pradesh State Award (Silver Medal) in recognition of her meritorious administrative service. The award has been given in appreciation of her dedicated work and contribution to governance in the state. Officials said the honour recognises her efforts in improving public service delivery and introducing new initiatives during her tenure in different districts. During her earlier postings as Deputy Commissioner of Kurung Kumey and Tirap districts, Yadav introduced several administrative measures aimed at strengthening grassroots governance.

Among her key initiatives was the Digi Kaksha programme, which focused on improving access to digital education in remote and underserved areas. The programme was widely appreciated for helping students gain better learning support through technology. Her work in improving coordination between departments and ensuring timely delivery of government schemes also earned recognition from both officials and local residents. Sources said her approach was marked by regular field visits and close monitoring of development projects.

Yadav is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare. She has now been transferred to New Delhi and is expected to take up her new assignment after March 2026. The Arunachal Pradesh State Award (Silver Medal) is given to officers who show commitment, integrity and strong administrative performance. With this honour, Yadav’s tenure in the state comes to a close on a note of appreciation and recognition for her public service.
