Zepp Health’s popular wearable brand, Amazfit, has announced the launch of an iOS Notification Forwarding beta feature, allowing iPhone users in the European Union to interact with alerts directly from their wrists. Historically, non-Apple watches paired with iPhones were mostly restricted to one-way mirrored text alerts, requiring users to reach for their phones to respond. Benefiting from Apple’s recent EU interoperability changes driven by the Digital Markets Act, this update bridges a major functional gap. Depending on the app, European users running iOS 26.5 or later can now reply directly to incoming text messages, view media files like smart doorbell camera previews, and perform quick tasks such as marking emails as read or initiating a callback.
The feature begins a phased rollout on June 30 via an update to the companion Zepp App. Initial compatibility is limited to three premium models: the Amazfit Balance 3, Balance Ultra, and Cheetah 2 Ultra. However, Amazfit plans to expand this interactive ecosystem to a wider catalog of wearables soon, including the Bip Max, Active 3 Premium, Balance 2, and several rugged watches from the T-Rex series. To activate the service, eligible users can accept an automated prompt inside the updated companion app or navigate manually through the device’s notification settings to authorize the connection on their iPhone. While full cross-device integration remains exclusive to the Apple Watch, this update serves as a massive quality-of-life improvement for European Amazfit owners who want richer, actionable alerts without leaving the iOS ecosystem.
