Arunachal Pradesh Governor on Monday called for a high degree of vigilance and stronger border management measures during a meeting with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 4 Corps. The discussions focused on the prevailing security situation along the international border, operational preparedness and measures to further strengthen security in the frontier regions.
During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the security arrangements and ongoing welfare initiatives undertaken by the armed forces for residents living in remote border areas. He appreciated the dedication of the Indian Army in safeguarding the nation and acknowledged its efforts to build stronger relations with local communities through various outreach programmes.

He noted that such programmes have improved access to education, healthcare and welfare services while promoting trust, goodwill and national integration among indigenous communities.
The GOC briefed the Governor on the operational readiness of the 4 Corps, ongoing security measures and developmental activities being carried out in border districts. He assured that the Indian Army would continue to maintain peace and security in the region while extending full cooperation and support to the civil administration and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
