Strengthening the vision of regional energy self-sufficiency, Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul conducted a high-level inspection of the ongoing 2 MW Ampani Hydropower Project on Tuesday. Located at Huiliang village in the remote Anjaw district, the project is a critical component of the state’s push toward decentralized infrastructure development.
Minister Pul, who is also the local MLA, carefully looked over the progress of the construction and talked to technical experts who were there. She gave the department heads and contractors strict orders to make sure the project is finished on time without sacrificing the quality of the engineering.
The Ampani project is very important for the government. It was officially announced during the “Cabinet Aapke Dwar” (Cabinet at Your Doorstep) program in Kibithoo, a border village, in May of last year. People see its steady growth as proof that the government kept its promise to bring important utility services to the most remote parts of the state.
Minister Pul said, “Once this 2 MW project is up and running, it will change the game for the Hayuliang circle.” “It is expected to greatly stabilize the local power supply, make people less dependent on the outside grid, and directly improve the quality of life for residents by powering homes and businesses.”
The minister also thanked the local landowners for their help in providing the land needed for the project and praised their willingness to work together. She said that community involvement is necessary for public welfare projects to be finished on time in mountainous areas.
Hayuliang ADC Julity Mihu, Anjaw SP Anurag Dwivedi, Hydropower Development Executive Engineer H. Tagi, and Hayuliang-Goiliang ZPM Mantaw Bellai were all high-ranking members of the inspection team. Their presence showed how well the administrative, security, and technical teams were working together to make sure the project was a success.
