The Tawang District Election Office in Arunachal Pradesh is treading the extra mile to make the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls inclusive and accessible in the district.
Towards this end, an awareness-cum-facilitation camp was organised at Tawang Monastery to ensure inclusive participation in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls.
Official sources said the camp was held to assist the monks of Tawang Monastery and the Buddhist nuns of Gyangong and Bramdungchung Nunneries in filling and submitting their Enumeration Forms.
The initiative aims to make the electoral revision process accessible to every eligible elector by providing on-the-spot guidance and assistance.
A commendable contribution is being made by the members of the Women’s Welfare Association (WWA) Tawang, and internship students of Dorjee Khandu Government College, Tawang, who are voluntarily helping participants fill out the forms accurately.
The District Election Office, Tawang, has appealed to all electors to actively participate in the SIR process and cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to ensure an accurate and updated electoral roll.
