The Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has received a luxury-inspired makeover with a new limited-edition variant created alongside Tonino Lamborghini. This is the first smartphone collaboration between Tecno and the Italian lifestyle brand. While the special edition focuses on its distinctive styling, the underlying hardware remains largely similar to the regular Pova 8 Pro 5G.
The phone is offered in a Tonino Lamborghini Black finish, featuring red detailing and a hexagonal pattern across the rear panel. Tecno has retained the Pulse Line design and added a mirror-like structure underneath it for a light-reflecting appearance. The back also carries metallic Tonino Lamborghini branding, while the Alive Matrix Display gets a custom ‘L’ signature.
On the software front, the device runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno has committed to two Android version upgrades and three years of security updates. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,644×1,208 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has a pixel density of 429ppi and offers a 93.18 percent screen-to-body ratio. The panel can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G processor with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while virtual memory expansion can take the total available memory to 24GB.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The customisable Alive Matrix Display is integrated into the rear camera module. For selfies and video calls, there is a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
The connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and NFC. Users also get a USB Type-C port, an infrared remote control and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone comes equipped with an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, G-sensor, e-compass and gyroscope.
A 6,500mAh battery keeps the phone running, with support for 45W fast charging. The device measures 162.48 x 77.27 x 7.39mm and weighs 189 grams.
Tecno has yet to announce the price and sales date of the limited-edition Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Edition. Its availability in India has also not been confirmed. The standard Pova 8 Pro 5G, meanwhile, was launched in India last month with a price tag of Rs. 49,999.
